Cerro Castor

The southernmost ski center in the world, Cerro Castor is located 26 km from the city of Ushuaia, Argentina, on Route Nº 3, Km. 26. It is easily accessible, as the entire road is paved.

As the southernmost ski resort on the planet, Cerro Castor offers unique and distinctive characteristics.

Skiing at Cerro Castor means enjoying the best snow quality, thanks to the mountain’s orientation (south-facing slope) and its extreme location (54° parallel, similar to Moscow in the northern hemisphere).

Today, the mountain features lift systems for all skiing levels and eight dining points where you can enjoy the stunning landscapes of Tierra del Fuego from different perspectives. Above all, it maintains the exceptional snow quality it has always been known for.

The resort also boasts an exclusive architectural style that is reflected in all its buildings and an infrastructure comparable to Europe’s top winter centers.

Additionally, it has a Snowmaking Network (28 TechnoAlpin snow cannons — the largest in South America) that extensively covers from mid-mountain down to the base, ensuring abundant snow throughout the season.

In the city of Ushuaia, we offer a variety of hotel options including Las Lengas, Los Ñires, Albatros, Fueguino, Los Acebos, Las Hayas, among others, with different categories and amenities.
